The Ferris State Football team has won three national championships in the past four seasons (2021, 2022, 2024) and enters the 2025 college football campaign riding a 14-game winning streak.

After a season-opening loss to Pittsburg State last year, the Bulldogs rolled to the NCAA Division II national title while outscoring their opponents 672-178 in those 14 wins.

FSU capped the run with a 49-14 rout of Valdosta State in the championship game.

Ferris State’s first challenge in keeping its winning ways going will be another season-opening meeting with Pittsburg State. This time, though, it’ll be on the Bulldogs’ home turf at Top Taggart Field in Big Rapids, Michigan.

The other big game already marked on most calendars in Michigan is the annual Anchor Bone Classic between Ferris State and Grand Valley State. In recent years, this rivalry game has been what has decided the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship.
