The Davenport Panthers are 23-9 over the last three seasons, but they’ve struggled when it comes to keeping up with the goliaths of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference – Ferris State and Grand Valley State.

The young program, established in 2016, was busy on the recruiting trail and will bring a talented roster into the 2025 college football season, again hoping to break through in a top-tier conference.

Davenport’s 11-game slate will begin on the road Aug. 30 against Gannon, and the campaign again will end with an opportunity to take down the reigning NCAA Division II national champion Ferris State Bulldogs.

The Panthers will host the Bulldogs at the Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex in Caledonia, Michigan, at noon on Nov. 15 in what they’re hoping will be a warm-up for the start of the 2025 Division II Playoffs a week later.
