The Campbell Fighting Camels are looking to improve on a 3-9 season in 2025, and have already begun to transform their roster with a hoard of transfer portal additions and recruits to add to the talent of their established veterans.

Led by fifth year quarterback Mike Chandler II, who appeared in 12 games last season and threw for 1,118 yards, six interceptions and 12 touchdowns on 161 attempts. Chandler brings a true dual-threat presence at quarterback, as he added 505 yards and three touchdowns on the ground on 90 rushes.

Running back Mark Biggins also brings a veteran presence as a fifth year, and in 2024 had 406 rushing yards on 88 carries and three touchdowns. With Biggins, sophomore running back JJ Cowan brings a powerful presence to the running back room, as he rushed for 365 yards and one touchdown on 70 carries as a true freshman.

At wide receiver, the Fighting Camels are returning just one of their top wide receivers from 2024 in sophomore Randall King. In nine games, King had 30 receptions for 413 yards and two touchdowns.

While the Camels may not have many returning players at skill positions, the offensive line is stacked with size. The lightest offensive linemen come in at 280lbs and the heaviest at 320lbs, providing a good foundation for the protection of Chandler.

On defense, Campbell lost most of its top tacklers but is returning three key players, safety Jojo Pace and linebackers Logan Livermon and Lakeem Rudolph.

Pace was the Camel’s second-highest tackler with 86 total tackles, 45 solo and two interceptions and this season he’ll be a key veteran presence in the secondary. At linebacker, Livermon and Rudolph each snagged two interceptions to go along with 95 total tackles between the pair.

Livermon and Rudolph will be veteran leaders for the Camels among not only linebackers, but the entire defense. With few defensive players returning, the established duo of Liverman and Rudolph will be key to Campbell’s defensive success.

Who Is The Campbell Football Head Coach?

Braxton Harris is entering his second year as the head coach of the Campbell Fighting Camels after spending one year as Houston Christian’s head coach. In 2023, he took the Huskies to a 6-5 record and is now looking to replicate that success at Campbell. Before going to Houston, he was an assistant coach on Campbell’s staff and has made his return to the Camels looking to lead them to CAA success.

He will have his work cut out for him, as he leads a team of few veterans and will need to get his group of transfers and recruits functioning as one before the 2025 season starts.
