Oklahoma State is the favorite after an undefeated conference dual season (9-0). The Cowboys have the most Big 12 titles (18) but haven’t won since 2021. This could be a statement win for head coach David Taylor during his rookie season.
Iowa State (2024) and Missouri (2022-23) combined to win the past three conference titles but have been decimated by injuries this season. The Cyclones fell to Oklahoma State and Northern Iowa in duals but still have tournament strength with half their lineup in the top three of FloWrestling’s conference rankings.
Northern Iowa had a remarkable dual season, dropping its lone dual to Oklahoma State, 22-14, on Jan. 24. The Panthers are led by four-time Big 12 and 2024 NCAA champion Parker Keckeisen. Head coach Doug Schwab can prove that UNI is more than a dual team with a solid performance.
The remaining teams have a strong individual or two but will need help to make a top-three push. Arizona State could make things interesting with national champion Richie Figueroa (125) and national finalist Cohlton Schultz (285).
Missouri’s two-time NCAA champion Keegan O’Toole was injured for the last half of the season but is the 174-pound favorite despite limited conference action. Northern Colorado’s Andrew Alirez won the 2023 NCAA Championships and is 12-0 this season.
Below are FloWrestling’s conference rankings for each weight and national rankings in front of each wrestler's name. Schools may use a wrestler other than the one listed.
