FloFootball broadcasts numerous Division II football games this weekend, but here are the five you absolutely should not miss.
No. 23 West Alabama vs No. 12 West Florida Football
A top 25 matchup taking place on FloSports this week, it'll be interesting to watch how West Florida is able to handle No. 23 ranked West Alabama. Coming off a bye week after a pretty dominating opening weekend against McKendree, the Argonauts will have to be sharp and come out the get go strong to avoid the upset. This matchup will be taking place at 7:00 p.m. EST right here on FloSports.
Wisconsin-La Crosse vs No. 2 Grand Valley State Football
A top 5 Division 3 team, UW-La Crosse has been off to a hot and dominating start to the season. This weekend will not be a cakewalk by any means for Grand Valley State and a dominating win could have them making their case to be No. 1. This is certainly an interesting matchup between two high quality programs. They have only faced each other once previously with GVSU winning 45-24 in 2021. A repeat performance could certainly show fans why GVSU is ranked No. 2 in the nation. The two teams will be facing off right here on FloSports at 7 p.m. EST.
No. 11 Central Missouri vs Davenport Football
Davenport has been knocking on a spot in the top 25, currently sitting 3 points behind the two teams tied for No. 24, Delta State and Wingate. An upset at home against No. 11 Central Missouri will not only have them entering the rankings, but entering with immense authority. Central Missouri was just shaken up this past week, falling to Central Oklahoma 57-40. They look to rebound with a quality win against Davenport, but it certainly won't be easy. This matchup will be kicking off right here at noon EST.
No. 16 Indianapolis vs Wayne State Football
Despite being 2-0 to start the season, Indianapolis has certainly looked shaky at times. They survived in a tight one score game against Truman State a week ago, but now go on the road to play a Wayne State team, that despite be 0-2 has some real talent. They have fallen in two score losses to two teams who have been receiving plenty of votes and if they are able to play consistently this weekend, they will certainly be able to stir up some trouble for a somewhat shaky Indianapolis team. They will be kicking off on FloSports here at 6 p.m. Eastern.
Western Oregon vs Sul Ross State Football
Sul Ross State is looking for their first conference win as a member of the Lone Star conference as they host Western Oregon. Western Oregon has had a rough start to the season and is looking to get their first win, while Sul Ross State is looking to build momentum off of a thrilling, emotional overtime battle last week against Wayland State. This will be an interesting matchup to see if Sul Ross State is able to really compete in the LSC and what their identity may look like in seasons to ome. The two kick off right here on FloSports at 2 p.m. EST.
