Quadruple overtime games and statement wins graced the slate of Division 2 Football in Week 2 of the 2024 college football season.

Ferris State defeated Lake Erie by a final score of 56-3, in a dominant performance one week after a loss to Pittsburg State. Grand Valley State Lakers won by a commanding 58 points and held Central State (OH) to zero points. Michigan Tech football rallied behind Alex Fries and Ethan Champney to overcome a 21-point deficit against South Dakota Mines.

The Anderson Trojans of the South Atlantic Conference won their first-ever football game with an impressive 51-14 win over St. Andrew.

West Alabama made a statement with their 45-9 win over Tusculum to start the season 2-0. West Alabama has opened its season with consecutive wins for the first time since 2022, and the victory over Tusculum featured a balanced effort on the way to 456 total yards of offense. The Tigers had 249 yards through the air and 207 yards on the ground.
