For the first time in program history, Roosevelt University football is playing a NCAA Football Division II schedule as the Lakers embark on a new era. 

Roosevelt, which was accepted to the NCAA Division II level following a 7-3 campaign in 2022, will join the GLIAC after a 6-4 season in 2023. 

And all of Roosevelt's home games and conference games will be streaming this season. 

The GLIAC is one of Division II football's most prestigious conferences and is the home to the most successful Division II program, Grand Valley State, and the 2022 Division II National Champion, Ferris State. 

Roosevelt has been around since 2020 when the Robert Morris University and Roosevelt University merged together. The program hailing from Chicago has had back-to-back winning seasons.

Roosevelt University's Name Change

The program belonged to Robert Morris University in the Chicago area but that school and Roosevelt University merged to form the current athletics department.
