The Coastal Athletic Association Men's Basketball Tournament is set to begin on March 8 in Washington, D.C., with the championship game being played on March 12. 

All 14 teams will compete for an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, which begins with the First Four on March 19 in Dayton, Ohio, and ends on April 8 in Glendale, Arizona.

Last year, the College of Charleston won the CAA championship 63-58 after a comeback in the final minutes against UNC Wilmington. This earned the Cougars their second CAA conference title in school history and a conference record for most wins in a season, finishing 31-4.

The first three rounds, including the quarterfinals, will be streamed on FloHoops and the FloSports App.

When Is The 2024 CAA Men’s Basketball Tournament

The CAA men’s basketball regular season will conclude on Saturday, March 2 and set the seeding for the 2024 CAA Men's Basketball Championship. The tournament will begin with round one on Friday, March 8 and the championship game taking place on Tuesday, March 12.

The CAA men’s tournament will be returning to Washington, D.C. All games will be held at the Entertainment and Sports Arena.

All Times Eastern

• Round 1 will begin Friday, March 8 with game one at 2pm Game two will be played at 4:30pm
• Round 2 will begin Saturday, March 9 with four games from 12 p.m.-8:30 p.m. 
• Quarterfinals will begin Sunday, March 10 with four games from 12 p.m.-8:30 p.m. 
• Semifinals will begin Monday, March 11 at 6pm and 8:30pm 
• The championship game will begin Tuesday, March 12 at 7 p.m.

When Does The 2024 NCAA Tournament Start?

The tournament will begin with Selection Sunday on March 17, followed by the First Four on March 19-20. 

After the opening round is complete, the field will be set with the top 64 teams and the first round will start on March 21-22.

What Is Selection Sunday?

Selection Sunday is the day the NCAA committee releases the full tournament bracket initial seeding of all 68 teams. 

Thirty-two teams will automatically qualify for the tournament by winning their conference tournament. 

That leaves 36 other teams fighting for an at-large bid from the selection committee, which is considered through multiple stats and rankings to determine who receives the at-large bid.
