Lenoir-Rhyne Football and Limestone of the South Atlantic Conference were selected to the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs.

Lenoir-Rhyne Football is headed to the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs after the Bears were the No.4 seed in Super Region 2 playoffs. 

The South Atlantic Conference champions though were joined by a surprise team: Limestone Football, which went 8-3 and finished behind Lenoir-Rhyne in the Piedmont Division of the SAC. 

The Bears and the Saints are attempting to become the first SAC team to win the Division II championship ever. The Bears are trying to return to the championship game for the first time since 2013 when they lost to Northwest Missouri State 42-28 in the championship game. 

Only one other current SAC program has ever reached the title game and that was Carson-Newman, which went to the championship game in 1996, 1998, and 1999. 

Mars Hill, which entered the week No. 10 in the Super Regional 2 rankings, was not selected for the playoffs. 

The Bears will host Shepherd at 1 p.m., while Limestone will play No. 3 seed Valdosta State of the GSC at 1 p.m.

How To Watch The NCAA Division 2 Football Playoff

All Division II Football Playoff games from the first round through the quarterfinals will stream on Hudl TV. 

After the quarterfinals, the playoff games will be available on the ESPN Networks with the semifinals streaming live on ESPN+. 

The NCAA Division II Football National Championship Game will be on ESPN.
