UAlbany Football hung on to beat Towson after the Tigers drove to the Great Danes' 4-yard line with 55 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. 

With the game in the balance on fourth down, UAlbany's defense came up with the biggest stop of the day. Ori Jean-Charles and Dylan Kelly tackled Devin Matthews for a 2-yard loss to force a turnover on downs and hand UAlbany the win, 24-17.

Towson nearly pulled off the miracle comeback after having trailed 14-3 at one point only to tie the game at 17 in the third quarter. UAlbany, though, had star quarterback Reese Poffenbarger, who scored a 6-yard touchdown to give his team the lead with 3:39 left.

The Tigers, which beat New Hampshire in overtime last week, went 66 yards in 55 seconds before the drive stalled in the redzone.

Reese Poffenbarger Has Huge Day For UAlbany 

One of the best quarterbacks in the FCS and the CAA lived up to the hype on Saturday. Reese Poffenbarger accounted for three touchdowns and threw for 225 yards on 18-for-25 passing. He completed 72 percent of his passes.
