An unusual week culminates for Don Bosco Prep on Friday in Prep Gridiron action, as the New Jersey powerhouse plays its second game of the week with Philadelphia's St. Joseph's Prep in town.

Lightning delays forced the postponement of Don Bosco's game Saturday with St. Joseph Regional of Montvale, New Jersey. The two sides resumed competition on Monday, but another round of lightning delays caused the game to be called at 21-0 for St. Joseph Regional.

The Ironmen return home from the disappointing result with bookending losses to start their season. They dropped their opener to Archbishop Spalding on Aug. 25, 28-14, but rallied for a 31-6 rout of Erasmus Hall on Sept. 1.

Logan Bush rushed for three touchdowns and 111 yards in Don Bosco's win over Erasmus Hall.

Since dropping a season-opening loss to national power IMG Academy, St. Joseph's Prep rolled to blowouts of Jersey City St. Peter's Prep, 42-0; and last week at Lakeland High School in Florida, 45-24.

Samaj Jones quarterbacks the Hawks. The Cincinnati Bearcats-committed quarterback is one of three St. Joseph's Prep players ranked No. 21 or better among Pennsylvania's 2024 recruits.

Joining Jones are cornerback Omillio Agard, a Wisconsin commit, and West Virginia-bound wide receiver Brandon Rehmann.

The Hawks lineup also features some of the nation's top 2025 signing class prospects on the defensive side of the ball. Lineman Maxwell Roy is 247Sports.com's No. 2-ranked recruit in Pennsylvania for 2025, and linebacker Anthony Sacca checks in at No. 5. Both are 4-star-rated top 200 national recruits.

Always-tough Don Bosco Prep features New Jersey's top-rated 2024 recruit in Georgia Bulldogs commit Jordan Thomas, the nation's No. 95 overall prospect and No. 16 among all defensive lineman.

Syracuse-committed linebacker Jayden Brown joins Thomas in the Ironmen front seven.

2025 cornerback Marquet Dorsey Jr. is a player to watch in the Don Bosco secondary against St. Joseph's Prep's potent passing attack.
