High School football giants St. John’s (DC) and American Heritage will face off on Aug. 26 for one of the most anticipated matchups of the week. 

American Heritage is one of the premier programs in Florida and has produced a plethora of NFL players.

St. John's, on the other hand, has not had as much of a prestigious reputation, although they have quickly risen through the ranks to be one the best teams in the nation.

St. John’s is currently ranked as the 19th team in the nation according to the High School Football American 100 rankings while American Heritage is ranked as the 16th. 

Saturday’s matchup looks to be a tightly contested event between two talented programs.

NFL Players From St. John’s

St. John’s has only sent one player to the NFL.

Bears defensive end Terrell Lewis played at St. John’s before attending Alabama. 

Lewis had a successful career with the Crimson Tide, winning a National Championship before being drafted by the Rams in the 3rd round of the NFL Draft.

Lewis was part of the Ram’s team that beat the Bengals in the Super Bowl. Most recently, he played for the Chicago Bears.
