UVA Wise guard Bradley Dean has been named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for games played during Week 6 of the 2022-2023 season, the conference announced Monday.

Dean, a sophomore from Gate City, Virginia, led the Cavaliers to a 1-1 record last week, including a 94-86 overtime win against Limestone. 

He scored a career-high 40 points, plus six rebounds and two assists in the win. 

He then scored 17 points with three rebounds, three assists and a steal against Coker. 

For the week, he averaged 28.5 points per game with 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists. 

Dean leads the league in scoring with 19.9 points per game.
