The following preview was provided by Texas high school football expert Hunter Cooke -- the former managing editor of TexasHSFootball.com.

Tennessee powerhouse Brentwood Academy and a supremely talented Dallas Bishop Dunne team will get things started on day two of the Battle on the Border on Saturday in Shreveport, LA.

Here's everything you need to know:

Battle on the Border VII -- Bishop Dunne (TX) vs. Brentwood Academy (TN)
When: Saturday, Sept. 9, at 11 AM (CT)
Where: Independence Stadium, Shreveport, LA
Broadcast: FloFootball.com

What you should know about Brentwood Academy
Brentwood posted a 10-2 record en route to winning a state championship last year. Middle linebacker Jack Sirmon will be the cornerstone of a defense that was at the very least solid. Four-star wide receiver Camron Johnson can absolutely break a game wide open.

What you should know about Bishop Dunne
The Falcons came within four points of a state title despite losing six games last year. They'll have to replace some important cogs on their defense such as Chevin Calloway and Damion Daniels, but they should have another strong unit.

Offense
Gavin Schoenwald will be moving from tight end to quarterback for Brentwood Academy, and that's going to add an interesting dimension. He's going to be more used to physicality than a normal quarterback, and that will benefit the Eagles' read-option game. Johnson is obviously incredible as a target in the passing game, and his presence could potentially draw some extra coverage.

On the Bishop Dunne side, there's a crew of very good wide receivers headlined by Marquez Beason. The 5-foot-11 junior can do it all: He'll play defense and might hit some wildcat quarterback as well.

Advantage: Brentwood Academy

Defense
Jack Sirmon will definitely be great for a Brentwood Academy defense that should be pretty solid. Ball-hawking cornerback Daniel Taylor is going to create some havoc wherever he lines up. Michael Hunt is also a good defensive lineman.

However, defense is where Bishop Dunne shines. Brian Williams is lurking in the secondary, and fast, physical defensive linemen Calvin Avery and Rasco Jones can cause some serious havoc (the pair combined for 20 sacks last year). Young outside linebacker Brennon Scott is going to be a good one as well.

Advantage: Bishop Dunne

Intangibles
This is less of intangibility and more of an inevitability. Avery will impact this game -- it's just a matter of when and how much. The 6-foot-2, 310-pound senior is going to get in the backfield at some point, but how much disruption will he cause? Will he make a game-changing stop or cause a fumble? Will he absolutely delete someone on the goal line, or will he strip-sack the quarterback? This isn't a knock on the Brentwood offensive line, but this is a guy who can change the trajectory of a game in a single play.

Advantage: Bishop Dunne

Key Matchup
Bishop Dunne defensive line vs. Brentwood offensive line

The one to watch here here will be the Bishop Dunne defensive line against the Brentwood offensive line. If the Eagles can keep Rasco and Avery out of the backfield, Brentwood should be able to run fairly easily. However, there's no real way to keep guys like them out of the backfield 24-7. They're disruptive in a way that can completely change the game, and I think they'll get the best of the Brentwood offensive line at least a few times.
