Notre Dame and Under Armour dropped arguably the best new uniform of the year on Friday when they officially released video and images of the Rockne Heritage uniform. The cleats and the helmet really take this pseudo-throwback up a notch.

Of course, the Irish aren't alone in adding some aesthetically pleasing threads to their collection.

The following are some of the best uniform updates we've seen this summer.

UCLA

Under Armour had a hell of an off-season. UCLA's new apparel provider righted Adidas' wrongs in restoring one of the most classic, timeless looks in college football.

Arizona

Nike overhauled Arizona's look, as well. Going to a very clean, minimalist look that we can all get on board with this season.

Utah

Under Armour struck again with its Utah update. Top to bottom, the Utes now have one of the best-looking uniforms in the country.

Nevada

Nevada has been wearing one of college football's least impressionable uniforms for seemingly forever. That changes this year with this awesome look. And if you're noticing a recurrence of minimalist redesigns (and the absence of Adidas), it's not an accident.

Washington State

Wazzu and Nike get a collective A-plus for this update. Three colors, six combinations, super clean. Several schools have tried their hand at a gray alternate uniform, but none of them made it look this good.
