Is USC Back To Being USC?
We're getting closer. Football season officially begins in 10 days.

Of course, much like Christmas, spring break, and the last day of school, the days seem to also grow longer as kickoff creeps nearer. We can't do much about that, but we can ensure that the next few minutes are awesome, thanks to this USC hype video.

Coming off a 10-win season and a Rose Bowl victory, Southern Cal will again benefit from the services of quarterback Sam Darnold -- a player many expect to be the No. 1 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Under head coach Clay Helton, the program appears to be very much back to what it was as recently as 2008.

Darnold leads a potentially potent, powerful offense thanks, in large part, to his right arm. The offensive line is massive and equally talented, and Ronald Jones II leads a running back group as good as any in the country. The Trojans will need players to emerge at wide receiver in order to maximize Darnold's effectiveness, as JuJu Smith-Schuster and Darreus Rogers are long gone.

Defensively, USC returns six starters but will need to overcome several high-profile departures. Most notably, Thorpe Award winner Adoree Jackson and defensive tackle Stevie Tu'ikolovatu leave big shoes to fill. Southern Cal's linebackers are solid and experienced, and the team as a whole is finally beginning to enjoy a little depth for a change. So replacing five defensive starters or a playmaker like Smith-Schuster isn't as daunting as it would've been a few years ago.

The Trojans enter 2017 as arguably the hottest team in college football with a nine-game win streak that stretches back to Darnold's second start.
