11 Players To Watch During South Pointe vs. Buford
The football field at Buford (GA) High School might as well be considered a Division I prospect parade on Friday when South Pointe (SC) pays the Wolves a visit.

The two teams are armed with an embarrassment of next-level caliber riches. Most programs would gladly settle for one Power Five-bound running back. Buford deploys a pair. South Pointe is headlined by arguably South Carolina's top prospect, a player who has recently drawn comparisons to Sammy Watkins. For now, he's the Stallions quarterback.

There's only one place to be on this high school football Friday and that's Buford, GA. If you can't be there, the solution is simple: FloFootball.com.

Need a reason? We'll give you 11.

Christian Turner, RB, Buford
5-foot-11, 187 pounds
3-star, No. 23 RB -- Committed to Michigan

Turner is half of one of the country's most dynamic backfield duos. The arrangement is rough on opposing defenses. Just ask Melbourne (FL) Central Catholic. Turned torched them for 128 yards on just 11 carries in his team's 34-17 win on Aug. 25. As for his, his battery mate…

Anthony Grant, RB, Buford
5-11, 200 pounds
3-star, No. 21 RB -- Committed to Tennessee

The future Tennessee Volunteer bolted for 90 yards and a score on 10 carries in the same game against Melbourne Central Catholic and is actually ranked two spots higher than Turner by 247Sports.

Derion Kendrick, QB, South Pointe
6-1, 195 pounds
4-star, No. 1 overall in SC -- Committed to Clemson

One of the most versatile players in the country, the top-ranked prospect in South Carolina is committed to Dabo Swinney and Co., as a wide receiver, but he plays quarterback -- and plays it well -- for the Stallions. Kendrick is drawing comparisons to former Clemson greats such as Sammy Watkins and Mike Williams.

Eli Adams, DE, South Pointe
5-11, 230 pounds
3-star, No. 52 WDE -- Committed to Virginia Tech

Adams may not have prototypical height for a defensive end, but it hasn't stopped him from wreaking havoc on opposing offenses. Over the past two seasons, the Virginia Tech commit has registered 30 sacks and 33 tackles for a loss.

Isaiah Isaac, WR, Buford
5-9, 175 pounds
3-star, No. 249 WR -- Committed to Wake Forest

Isaac is a can't-miss player on a football field -- as in you won't be able to miss him while you watch. Defenders manage to miss him just fine. Primarily a wide receiver, Isaac is a versatile multi-sport athlete who affects a football game just as you'd expect.

Steven Gilmore Jr., CB, South Pointe
5-9, 152 pounds
3-star, No. 100 CB -- Top offers include Georgia and South Carolina

The brother of NFL Pro Bowler Stephon Gilmore, Steven is a top 100 cornerback, but he will get his touches on offense, as well. And if you're wondering if his brother's football acumen has rubbed off, the answer is yes. Yes it has.

Brock Mattison, LB, Buford
6-2, 223 pounds
3-star, No. 123 OLB -- Committed to Appalachian State

Mattison has seen his stock rise significantly of late. He picked up his first Power Five offer from Washington State last month -- which brought his grand offer total to 23. One look at his tape explains why.

Scott Robinson Jr., S, South Pointe
5-11, 170 pounds
2-star, No. 215 S

Robinson may not be a mega prospect, but he's a hell of a high school safety. The two-way player will be one of the primary difference makers on the field on Friday.

Bryson Richardson, S, Buford
6-1, 190 pounds
3-star, No. 62 S -- Committed to North Carolina

The future Tar Heel is no joke. Richardson flies around the Buford secondary, recognizes the run with greater anticipation than most safeties, and generally makes his presence very well known to opposing offenses.

Jamari Currence, CB, South Pointe
5-10, 160 pounds
2-star, No. 201 CB -- Offers include James Madison and UMass

Looking for a playmaker among playmakers? You've got him in South Pointe cornerback Jamari Currence. He will intercept passes, block kicks, and diversify your portfolio between plays. There's nothing he can't do.

Quentin Skinner, LS, Buford
6-0, 235 pounds
2-star, No. 1 long snapper in the country -- Committed to LSU

Spotting an elite high school long snapper is like spotting a unicorn -- which makes watching a Buford game unexpectedly similar to an episode of My Little Pony, thanks to LSU commit Quentin Skinner. Side note: How come the show wasn't called My Little Unicorn?
