West Virginia's Hype Video Is As Uptempo As Holgorsen's Offense
West Virginia 2017 Hype Video and season preview
Much like waiting for Christmas, spring break, and the last day of school, anticipating the start of football seems to make the days grow longer.
We can't do much about that, but we can ensure that the next few minutes are awesome, thanks to this West Virginia hype video.
The Mountaineers enter 2017 ranked No. 20 in the first Amway Coaches Poll, but not much is certain in Morgantown for a team that lost almost three-quarters of its offensive production from a season ago.
Florida transfer Will Grier has some high on West Virginia -- and understandably so. The thought of Grier slingin' it in a Dana Holgorsen offense is an attractive one to say the least. Justin Crawford will join Grier in the backfield a year after rushing for 1,184 yards, and Ka'Raun White -- the brother of former Mountaineer great Kevin White -- will look to neutralize the loss of wide receivers Shelton Gibson and Daikiel Shorts.
West Virginia's primary source of concern is in the trenches, where Holgorsen and his staff must replace all three starters on its defensive line and three more on the offensive line -- including All-American Tyler Orlosky. The look -- and quality -- of the secondary is also anyone's guess.
On paper, the Mountaineers appear talented enough to contend in the Big 12 in spite of their perceived weaknesses. Paper doesn't always matter, but sweet hype videos do, of course.
Football season officially begins two weeks from today with No. 12 American Heritage headlining a high school doubleheader in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In case you're wondering, FloFootball is live-streaming the event.
